Spāņu režisora Alejandro Amenábar filma, kurā kristietības ienākšana Aleksandrijā attēlota visai asiņaini. Vēl daži Latvijā pazīstamākie šī režisora darbi - The Sea Inside (2004) un The Others (2001) ar Nicole Kidman.

Īss komentārs - uzkrītoši varēja pamanīt, ka režisore ir sieviete. Keanu Reeves spēlē vāji (kā parasti), taču lielu prieku sagādāja Monica Bellucci epizodiskā, taču, manuprāt, visievērojamākā jeb visspilgtākā filmas epizode.

Pēc The Thomas Crown Affairs 1968. gada filmas ar Steve McQueen un Faye Dunaway motīviem tika uzņemts Re-Make 1999. gadā ar Pierce Brosnan un Rene Russo, un interesanti, ka jaunajā versijā arī tika piemeklēta loma Feya Dunaway.

Tā kā 1999. gada versiju esmu redzējis kādas reizes sešas, tad apņēmos noskatīties arī oriģinālo jeb pirmo versiju. Patika tas, ka vecajā versijā ir skaisti sievišķīgi erotiskie momenti (bez plikumiem) Fejas izpildījumā, un neprognozētas filmas beigas (forši, ka 60.-70.tajos gados vēl nebija izveidojušies klišejiski saldi pozitīvie nobeigumi Holivudas stilā).

Trust Me: TNT TV Series Cancelled, No Season Two
Published: April 10, 2009

To little surprise, TNT has cancelled their low-rated drama, Trust Me. Despite having two former network stars as the show’s leads, the series never took off.

Trust Me revolves around a fictional Chicago ad agency. Tom Cavanagh and Eric McCormack play co-workers and friends whose relationship changes when one of them gets promoted. Others in the cast include Geoffrey Arend, Sarah Clarke, Mike Damus, Griffin Dunne, and Monica Potter.

The show debuted on January 26th of this year, following TNT’s successful The Closer. It attracted 3.4 million viewers, losing about half of its lead-in’s audience. The second episode dropped to just 1.9 million viewers and things got worse from there. The network began airing episodes in double doses by mid-March and the last two installments ran on April 7th.

McCormack obviously saw the writing on the wall and signed on to a new ABC pilot last month. Now, TNT has made it official, announcing that Trust Me won’t be returning for a second year.

The network’s executive VP and head of programming, Michael Wright, believes that Trust Me was a creative success but just couldn’t find an audience.

Kāpēc skatos 6. sezonu, nevis 3. (ko patreiz rāda TV kanālā Latvijā)?

Man patīk, ja var sekot līdzi šībrīža problēmām, aktualitātēm un situācijām (piem., finanšu krīzes ietekme, u.c.), respektīvi, gribas dzīvot tagad - 2009. gadā.

Izcila aktierspēle. Perfekti aktieri. Režisors Lars von Trier, kuru jau esam iepazinuši no viņa agrākajiem darbiem - Dejotāja Tumsā ar Bjork (Dancer in the Dark, 2000), Dogvilla ar Nicole Kidman (Dogville, 2003) un (Manderlay, 2005). Īsāk sakot, baudījums Eiropas kino gardēžiem.

Vai šo filmu var ieteikt citiem? Khmmmm... Tādos gadījumos es saku: "Nu izlem pats!" :-)

Tā runā, ka pilsētā esot mārketinga priekšmeta pasniedzēja, kas Guerrilla Marketing iztulko kā 'gorillas' mārketingu. Gribētos cerēt, ka baumas nav patiesas :D

Filma varētu patikt, ja nav pretenziju pret to, ka visi notikumi risinās "pazuduša" kosmosa kuģa telpās. Līdzības ar tādām fimām kā Svešais (Alien, 1979), Svešie (Aliens, 1986), Lode (Sphere, 1998), The Abyss, 1989.
Ir gan mošķi, gan cilvēku varonība cīņā ar tiem, gan arī mazliet psihoģiskās spēlītes pašiem ar sevi uz sajukšanas robežas (kā tas bieži vien notiek slēgtās telpās). '-)
Laba izklaide bez ekspektācijām. Ak, jā - mazliet romantisks moments un seksīga galvenās (vienīgās) sieviešu lomas atveidotāja.

Pie komentāriem nav daudz kas piebilstams. Lai saprastu, ko sagadīt, ir jābūt pazīstamam arī ar citām Jim Jarmusch filmām - Coffee and Cigarettes (2003), Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai (1999), kas man patikušas.
Šo filmu patiešām izbaudīju - Spānija, lēni saturīgā darbība, dialogi, un jo īpaši emocionāla (tieši man) bija Flamenko epizodē. Pat galvenais varonis pasmaidīja (laikam vienīgo reizi filmā).

Hmmmm... šodien noskatījos šo filmu. Teikšu godīgi- filma bija laba, ar diezgan dzilu domu un bez stulbajām amīšu jēlībām. Tā nav komēdija, kā es nezn kāpēc biju domajusi :) Filma ilgst vairāk kā 2h, tāpēc ar Colas dzeršanu nevajadzētu dikti aizrauties ;)

Filma, ko var noskatīties vienu reizi. Ļoti aktuāla arī mūsu laikos (krīzes jeb iespēju laikā), kad jāmeklē un jādomā, kā izdzīvot. Atziņa tāda, ka ir 2 veidi. Tātad - 1) ja nevari veiksmīgi apprecēt sponsoru, tad 2) jāsāk strādāt pašam :- ))))
